The No. 19 Auburn Tigers welcomed the South Carolina Gamecocks into Jane B. Moore field for a three-game set that started Saturday and ended tonight. Auburn came into this series after sweeping Texas A&M at home last weekend. South Carolina came into this one after only winning one out of three games against Georgia at home last weekend, and then beating College of Charleston at home Thursday night.

The No. 2 seeded Auburn Tigers took on the No. 10 seeded Miami Hurricanes at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC tonight in the second round of the 2022 NCAA tournament. Auburn came into this game after an 80-61 win over the 15th seed Jacksonville State Gamecocks Thursday afternoon. Miami came into this one after knocking off the seventh seeded USC Trojans on Thursday afternoon. The starting five for Auburn were K.D. Johnson, Zep Jasper, Allen Flanigan, Jabari Smith, and Walker Kessler. The starting five for Miami were Isaiah Wong, Charlie Moore, Jordan Miller, Kameron McGusty, and Sam Waardenburg.

After splitting a series with Middle Tennessee, The Auburn Tigers (14-6) (1-2 SEC) came home to Plainsman Park to take on their toughest challenge yet, the No. 1 ranked team in the nation the Ole Miss Rebels (15-4) (2-1 SEC). The series would also be the first in SEC play for both teams, and would be split 2-1 in Ole Miss’s favor, thanks to what was an up and down weekend from the Tigers.

The No. 5 Auburn Tigers traveled over to Starkville, MS to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Humphrey Coliseum. Auburn came into this one looking to bounce back after a tough loss against Tennessee in Knoxville last Saturday. Mississippi State came into this one off a 74-69 win over the Vanderbilt Commadores at home on Saturday. The starting five for the Tigers tonight included K.D. Johnson, Zep Jasper, Allen Flanigan, Jabari Smith, and Walker Kessler. The starting five for the Bulldogs included Shakeel Moore, Iverson Molinar, D.J. Jeffries, Garrison Brooks, and Tolu Smith.

After winning the night before against the Alabama State Yellowjackets, the Auburn Tigers (7-2) came back to Plainsmen Park to take on the Blazers of UAB (6-2). Over the course of nine innings, except for the first inning Auburn dominated UAB thanks to a combination of a fantastic start from Mason Barnett, and great batting performances for a final score of 16-1.

For the second straight year, Auburn (10-18, 2-14 SEC) has been eliminated in the first round of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament. The Tigers gave up another fourth quarter lead and fell in Nashville to Alabama (16-12, 6-10 SEC) 75-68.

It was a great opportunity for a get right game following a loss Saturday night as the Tigers hosted the Alabama State Hornets on Tuesday evening. A picture-perfect day on the plains pitted Auburn against an in-state foe from just down I-85.

Kentucky, and especially Rhyne Howard, proved too much for Auburn in Lexington as the Wildcats prevailed 90-62 in the regular season finale. Howard, on her senior day, led all scorers with 32 points while making eight threes in the game. In total, the Wildcats made 10 threes and shot the ball at a 50.8% clip from the field.

After beating Jacksonville State, the No. 21 ranked Auburn Tiger softball team (15-1) came back home to battle in The Plainsmen Invite, a series that included teams as ULM, Delaware State, Bradley university, and Syracuse. The Auburn Tigers played 5 games over the stretch of the weekend, one against every team and two against ULM, and the Tigers went 5-0, in which they dominated outscoring their opponents 30 to 4 and had great pitching with 53 total strikeouts over the weekend.

No. 3 Auburn had the chance to take firm control of the SEC regular season race after Kentucky lost to Arkansas earlier in the day. However, the Tigers let an 11-point lead slip away in the second half as Tennessee prevailed on their home court by a score of 67-62. Despite only scoring two points in a nine-minute stretch in the second half, Auburn was able to cut the Tennessee lead to three in the final minute. But Kennedy Chandler immediately answered for the Volunteers with a field goal with a half minute to play to put the Tigers away.

The #5 Auburn Tigers were back in Auburn Arena to take on the Kentucky Wildcats after their 197.175 - 196.300 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs last Friday night. Kentucky came into the meet after a very close loss to the #3 Florida Gators 197.575 - 197.350 in Lexington. This turned out to be a truly incredible night for the Tigers.
