Auburn was once again without center Precious Johnson and forward Romi Levy due to an illness going around the team. However, there was a key addition to that list tonight. It was announced that head coach Johnnie Harris would not be at her usual spot on the bench coaching the Tigers. Instead, it would be associate head coach Damitria Buchanan who would lead Auburn to a 71-62 victory inside Neville Arena.

Two weeks ago, Auburn football was in a bad place. They just lost yet another game in grueling fashion. The stands were over half-empty as the clock hit zero. Fans were openly stating they did not think they could endure another home game this season. Frustration loomed large over both the Auburn football team and the Auburn fanbase.

Auburn, AL - Auburn women’s basketball opened their season against Sam Houston Tuesday night. In a year where the Tigers look to redeem themselves after losing eight of the last nine games to close out the previous season, the team needed a win to begin this year. Some might say this team needed a birthday wish to come true for a win to happen on opening night. Well, Auburn’s wish was answered, this time by none other than Auburns’ own Aicha Coulibaly. Behind a dominate performance from the junior, Auburn would go on to secure their first victory of the season by a score of 90-76 against Sam Houston on the night of head coach Johnnie Harris’s birthday.

Auburn, AL: In the second game in two days, the Auburn Tigers took on the Texas A&M Aggies inside Neville Arena with the Tigers coming out victorious 3-1 (25-21, 29-27, 24-26, 33-31). This win gave the Tigers their 20th win on the season, the first time the program has reached this mark since 2010.
