For the first time since 2010, Auburn Tiger Volleyball (21-8 SEC:10-8) won a match in the NCAA tournament. Not only was the win against the No. 14 Creighton BlueJays (27-4 Big East: 17-1), but in a five-set classic that has not only caused the Tigers to advance to the second round, but also helped the Tiger squad with two juniors, two sophomores, and eight Freshmen as a force to be reckoned with not only in this tournament but for seasons to come.
On a night where the AU Jungle brought out their ugly Christmas sweaters, the on-court play could be described as anything but that. With an all-around performance that was by far the best of the season, the Auburn Tigers remained unbeaten, defeating Colgate 93-66.

AUBURN, Ala. – The Tigers took to the floor without head coach Johnnie Harris due to illness for the second time this season. Associate head coach Damitria Buchanan would step in once again to steer the Tigers to yet another victory in a 70-48 win against the Little Rock Trojans after losing the same matchup a year ago.
AUBURN, ALA. - For the first time in 12 years, Auburn is heading to the NCAA Tournament. They are doing it with a remarkably young roster.
Auburn, AL: A new chapter in Auburn football is about to begin as Hugh Freeze became the 31st head football coach in school history. To say he was universally received and welcomed by the Auburn family would be a lie. Hugh Freeze has had quite the number of off field issues, mainly stemming from his time at Ole Miss from 2012 to 2016. However, much of the backlash he has received was from his twitter interactions with a woman who along with other women filed a lawsuit alleging Liberty discouraged the reporting of sexual assault.
AUBURN, ALA. - Gus Malzhan led Auburn to its eighth SEC Championship and an appearance in the National Championship game in his first season as head football coach after the team went winless in the SEC the year prior. Gene Chizik led the Tigers to an 8-5 record in his first season, the Tigers finished 5-7 the year before. Pat Dye's first team at Auburn went 5-6. The point is, first-year head coaches at Auburn have had just about every outcome imaginable. What does that mean for Auburn's 31st head coach Hugh Freeze?
AUBURN, Ala. – Newly appointed Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze was formally introduced Tuesday morning by athletic director John Cohen. In a move that marks the end of interim head coach Carnell “Cadillac” Williams role in the position, Freeze expressed thankfulness while adding that Williams has done an “incredible job.”
AUBURN, Ala.—The news leaked over the weekend, the backlash was heavy, and Auburn still went through with hiring Hugh Freeze. Critics of Freeze and his past transgressions were called “woke”, though I am not sure that word has much meaning anymore.
AUBURN, ALA. - Auburn University confirmed today that Hugh Freeze will serve as the next head coach of its football program.
AUBURN, ALA. - 12 years ago, the Auburn Tigers recieved their last bid to the NCAA Volleyball Tournament. In 2022, in Brent Crouch's third season as the Auburn head coach, the Tigers have recieved a tournament bid once again.
Auburn (7-0) defeated Saint Louis (5-2) 65-60 Sunday afternoon in Neville Arena. The Tigers were fresh off of their Thanksgiving trip to Cancun, but they knew in order to take down Saint Louis, it would take their best effort. "That was a great win," said Pearl. "We beat a quad one team." Auburn jumped out to an early lead, but the Billikens quickly clawed back. They were led by big days from Javon Pickett and Gibson Jimerson. Jimerson hit four threes in the game for Saint Louis, and Pickett proved difficult to defend. He led the team in scoring with 16 points. From then on out, it was a back and forth game. There were eight lead changes in the game and eleven ties. Auburn's offense hit a slump late in the second half, and Saint Louis garnered their biggest lead of the game (58-53) with five minutes left. At that point Pearl took a timeout, which is something he rarely does. He did so in order to give his team a rest. "I never do that," said Pearl. "I just knew that I wasn't going to sub that group out." There was no panic from this Auburn squad, however. KD Johnson checked into the game and was an immediate spark. He drove to the basket and made a tough layup to cut the lead to three. Auburn then went on a 12-2 run to finish out the game. "We've been in that spot multiple times before," said Broome. Wendell Green Jr. led the team in scoring today with a season high 22 points, despite struggling in the last few games. Green said "I worked on it mentally," when asked about how he handled his shooting woes. However, Green was not alone in the scoring effort. Johni Broome had 11 points. Johnson and Williams also added 9 points apiece. Overall, Auburn shot 40.7% from the field in this one. That percentage is improved from their previous game, but the Tigers know they still need to get better offensively. Pearl specifically pointed out that "when (Johni Broome) gets to finishing more, we'll be better." Nonetheless, Coach Pearl is proud of his team's win today. It was gutsy performance against a really solid opponent. "There's a lot of reasons why we could've lost that game," said Pearl. They did not; however, and now they can turn their attention to their next game. The Tigers will take on Colgate Friday night inside Neville Arena. That game will tip off at 7:00.
The Auburn Tigers (21-8, SEC: 10-8) were swept in six straight sets to close out the season against the Arkansas Razorbacks (20-8 SEC: 11-7), this past weekend in Neville Arena.
After losing to the No. 6 Indiana Hoosiers, The Auburn Tigers (4-2) came back with a vengeance in the final game of the Las Vegas Invitational from the Mirage Resort and Casino against the Colorado State Rams (4-2) winning 74-73 in an absolute barnburner that came down to the final second.
TUSCALOOSA, ALA. - 318 rushing yards. Two players rushed for more than 100 yards again. Auburn had one of their best rushing performances in Iron Bowl history. It was not enough to get past the Crimson Tide.
