Underwriting

If you would like a tax deductible way to support Auburn University and WEGL 91.1 while simultaneously promoting your business in the Auburn–Opelika Area, you can choose to underwrite a show at WEGL in exchange for a mention or PSA during the chosen program.  WEGL is a non-commercial radio station; therefore underwriting is not an advertisement but instead a factual acknowledgement.

Underwriting Policy:

As a non-commercial radio station, WEGL 91.1FM must abide by certain rules:

• We may include non-promotional slogans, location information, objective and neutral descriptions of a product line or service, and brand or trade names.

• We may not include price information, a call to actions, an inducement to buy/sell/lease, or a promotion any product or brand of any kind.

Sample:

“You’re listening to Live Jam, featuring local acts of Auburn and Opelika.  Live Jam is brought to you by activemusician.com, a website which carries music, tickets, videos, t-shirts and other items that are exclusively related to the Auburn music scene.  For more information, log on to activemusician.com.  Thanks activemusician.com!”  

WEGL Underwriting Fees:

PSA’s are for 30 seconds in length.  

• Sports Shows  3 per event, for a month                          $300

• Three spots every week day morning for a month          $200

• Three spots every weekday afternoon for a month         $200

• Three spots every weekend for a month                         $150

** Additional 15% discount for long term contract (6 months or more) **
