Auburn seeks to end six-game skid at home against Missouri

AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn Tigers (9-9) seek to end a six-game losing streak and secure their first win in SEC play against the Missouri Tigers (11-9) who are also looking for their first conference win.

Auburn, now 0-5 in the SEC, returns home to Neville Arena after a tough game against the seventh-ranked Texas Longhorns. The Tigers have struggled with depth and scoring due to injuries all year. However, two new additions to the roster and the recent success of senior guard Mar’shaun Bostic could spark the momentum Auburn has been looking for.

Over the past three games, Bostic has averaged 15.3 points, six assists, and four steals per contest. Pairing this with DeYona Gaston's continued consistent production, the Tigers may have found a consistent two-headed attack that returns them to early-season form.

The Tigers also added two new freshmen, Yuting Deng and Julia Geis, to the roster. Deng, a highly touted recruit from China, debuted against Texas but only logged six minutes. If Coach Johnnie Harris can incorporate these new pieces to complement her veterans' success, Auburn can find itself back in the win column.

Missouri is spearheaded by coach Robin Pingeton, and led by sophomore Grace Slaughter, who is averaging 13.9 points per game. Upperclassmen Laniah Randle and Ashton Judd also find themselves in double-figure season averages for Coach Pingeton’s team. Missouri also shoots at an above-average 38 percent from beyond the arc on the season.

Coach Harris will look to lean on her defensive principles as the two squads tipoff at 2:00 pm live on SEC Network+ and The Auburn Sports Network.
