Tyler Johnson, a three-star offensive lineman according to 247 Sports, committed to Auburn less than 24 hours after receiving an offer. Johnson was previously committed to play at Texas Tech, but changed his mind after visiting Auburn yesterday.
"Thank you to all the coaches who have took the time to recruit me," Johnson said via Twitter. "I am officially done with recruitment. 200% committed to The University of Auburn."
The 6'6", 300-pound offensive lineman is a native of Natchitoches, Louisiana, and attends Natchitoches Central High School.
Johnson holds offers from three other power five programs: Texas Tech, Baylor, and Missouri.
According to the 247 Sports Composite, Johnson is No. 789 in the class of 2023. He is also the No. 59 offensive tackle and the No. 29 player in the state of Louisiana.
Johnson is the third offensive line commit for the Tigers during this cycle. He will join Clay Wedin and Bradyn Joiner, two four-star interior offensive line prospects.
