Auburn, Ala. - Aden Holloway, ranked 32nd in the class of 2023 according to 24/7Sports, signed his letter of intent to play for Auburn yesterday. This continues one of the most successful stretches of recruiting by an Auburn coach ever.
Since Bruce Pearl arrived at Auburn in 2013, he has had nothing but success when it comes to recruiting. Every one of Auburn's eight highest-rated recruits was brought to the Plains by Pearl. This includes Jabari Smith, the highest-rated player in the history of the program and the third overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Looking further, only two of Auburn's 15 highest-rated prospects ever were not recruited by Pearl. These two are Korvotney Barber who is the ninth-rated recruit in program history, and Luke Cothron who is the 12th.
Pearl credited the fans with a lot of the success that the program has had recruiting.
"One of the things I'm so very pleased about is just, like tonight, it was sold out," Pearl said. "It's the second game of the year. It's November, and we're selling games out. ... I'm happy for our players that they get to play in this environment. So anytime you bring prospects in they get a chance to see the environment."
With perhaps the deepest roster he has ever had at Auburn, it will be interesting to see where Pearl can lead the Tigers in 2022-23.
