Moon River 2022 is quickly approaching. The lineup leaves no gaps, with stellar acts throughout both days. However, a few stand out and WEGL has been lucky to cover them while they were out on tour. Zach Bryan is very quickly taking over the country music scene. Known for his songwriting and delicate instrumentation, Zach Bryan has exploded online the past year. He recently came down to Auburn, where he played this past Spring's Auburn Rodeo. Zach drew a huge crowd, and arguably overwhelmed the headliner's own draw. Do not underestimate Bryan's live shows.

Briston Maroney has been making the rounds on tour this past year. Headline shows in Birmingham and Atlanta, supporting acts like Manchester Orchestra and Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and even an appearance at Alabama's Hangout Music Festival. His relentless touring has brought him a ton of fanfare, and his ever increasing crowds have made him a must see before he's way too big. Get to the festival early and make sure you catch Briston's set.

Band of Horses are a well established act in the world of southern rock. For fans of My Morning Jacket or Drive-By Truckers, these guys are for you. The band first gained national attention in 2006 with the release of their hit song "The Funeral" and have been on the rise ever since. They just recently got off of tour with The Black Keys, performing as direct support.
Band of Horses hit the Poplar Stage at 7:00pm on Sunday.

Hiss Golden Messenger is a name you might have heard in passing, but is one you certainly need to know if you don't already. A legend in the modern folk world, Hiss Golden Messenger puts on a mystical live show. Elegant instruments and heartfelt writing make this group stand out. Earlier this year they headlined Birmingham's Saturn and it continues to be one of the best shows I've seen all year.
