Coming from Coppell, Texas, Erin is about an 11 hour drive from Auburn. She attended Auburn for four years studying Business Administration along as studio art for her minor. Erin immersed herself in a variety of organizations at Auburn. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, Pups on the Plains, Women in Business and WEGL radio.
At WEGL, Erin started her show ‘One More Hour’ in the fall of 2020 and has been hosting it ever since. On top of being an incredible DJ, Erin has been on WEGL’s staff since the spring of 2021. She started out serving as the Website Director, and then she transitioned into her current role as Marketing Director.
As Marketing Director, Erin is in charge of promoting WEGL and maintaining all of our social media. Erin uses her creative talents to design incredible graphics for show banners, Instagram posts, website art, etcetera. Erin has also designed all of our merch; from hoodies to t-shirts and even koozies! We have been really lucky to have her creative eye and everything she has designed.
Erin also led a marketing committee where she helped the members create and execute their own sector of marketing for WEGL. She helped brainstorm ideas and put them into place. She is always willing to lend an extra hand; she has even had little “crash-course” sessions where she has taught the committee how to use Canva and Photoshop.
Erin had a lot of awesome memories in WEGL to share. One of her favorite memories was playing intramural flag football on WEGL’s team. Erin had her fair share of touchdowns. She claimed, “I scored because Will was throwing darts.” Another one of Erin’s favorite memories is when she and a group of WEGL friends last minute decided to drive town to Baton Rouge for the Auburn vs LSU game. Erin explained that they were all crammed in a tiny hotel room but had so much fun the entire weekend.
When asked her favorite part of WEGL, Erin responded that it is hands down the people. “I love them. Everyone is super chill. They're quite a unique bunch of people. I don’t even know how to describe them.”
Erin explained that WEGL was able to provide her with some cool opportunities. Her favorite being given two pairs of tickets to giveaway to Hangout Festival as well as being given two media passes this past year. Also, she explained that her experience at WEGL helped her land her job at iHeartMedia.
Soon, Erin will be leaving Auburn and heading to Nashville where she will work on Broadway Street. She has such an exciting new job and we cannot wait to cheer her on from Auburn! We will miss you Erin!
