As the year comes to a close, we’ll be spotlighting a member with one of the shortest, but most eclectic tenures at WEGL. Senior Adam Lenhard, host of On the Air With Adam Tuesdays at 10, is always a positive and uplifting figure in the WEGL studio. So read along and get to know WEGL’s own Boss Man Music.
When did you first hear about WEGL?
Adam Lenhard writes and records his own music under the name “Boss Man Music”, and was featured in the spring of his Junior year at Auburn. Adam first heard about WEGL through WEGL’s live events director, Dylan Basden, when he performed at WEGL’s Concerts on Campus series.
How long have you been with WEGL?
“One semester baby, I’m coming in at the end and I’m going out with a bang.”
What’s your favorite way to listen to music?
“Vinyl… my parents love to gift my vinyl’s and its such a great gift.”
If there was one artist / band you could see live in concert, alive or dead, who would it be?
“The Beatles man… or Dark Side of the Moon Pink Floyd.”
Do you have an all-time favorite artist or band?
“Modern, AJR. Historically, The Beatles.”
What type of music do you like listening to the most?
“Alt indie folk. That’s the type of music I like to make and that’s the type of music I like to listen to.”
Are you involved with any other organizations on campus?
Adam is very involved with environmental groups around campus. He is part of the Horticulture Club, the Permaculture Tigers, and the Bee Club. “Save the bees.”
What do you want your listeners to know about you and / or your show?
“You can hear my brand new album called Bits and Pieces coming out April 22. Tune in to On the Air With Adam to hear great good vibe music along with amazing new originals by yours truly, Boss Man Music.
Do you play any instruments?
Adam started off playing ukulele, then learned guitar, banjo, mandolin, and is now learning how to play bass.
Fun Fact Adam is in the first graduating class of Biological Agricultural Technology Management. He will be graduating with two other students in the spring.
