This week we’ll be featuring Senior DJ Bay Marks. Majoring in communications with a minor in business, Bay has been with WEGL since his second week of Freshman year. His show The Scoreboard has been on air since his first month at Auburn, focusing on sports events around Auburn and the professional world.

When did you first hear about WEGL?
“I first heard about WEGL at Camp War Eagle at the Haley Center with the Tiger Tables.”
How long have you been with WEGL? What’s your favorite memory?
Bay has been with WEGL since the first week of Freshman year and has appeared on many shows including Extra Point, Compact Discourse, and a variety of sports shows. Bay says that his favorite memory with WEGL is just hanging out with all the people in the studio and bullpen.
What’s your favorite way to listen to music?
Bay enjoys listening with headphones in the gym, where he will, “turn on whatever playlist or genre I’m feeling that day and just go crazy.”
If there was one artist / band you could see live in concert, alive or dead, who would it be?
“Post Malone, I feel like he puts on some really good shows.”
Do you have an all-time favorite artist or band?
“Time McGraw, his music will never get old for me.”
What type of music do you like listening to the most?
Bay’s favorite genre of music is Country Music.
Are you involved with any other organizations on campus?
Bay used to work as a student recruiter for the College of Liberal Arts, but has been focusing on doing internships during his senior year.
What do you want your listeners to know about you and/or your show?
“It’s something that me and Jacob really enjoy doing and we hope anybody that’s listened to us enjoyed it as well.
What is your favorite Auburn sports memory?
“Freshman year run to the final four is without a doubt my favorite sports memory.”
Do you have any favorite professional sports teams / players?
“I’m a really big Boston Red Sox fan.”
Fun Fact: Bay Marks was a triple threat athlete in high school, playing basketball, baseball, and track and field.
