Concert Review: Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson, and The Alchemist at The Tabernacle

The triple headlining show sold out its Atlanta stop. The 2,500 cap Tabernacle was rocking from the floor to both balconies. The bass vibrated the entire building and you could feel the grown shake in the GA pit.

Earl Sweatshirt didn't miss a beat. I've always heard of Earl as a "moody" rapper or a more lyrical artist, so I was expecting a little bit more relaxed of a set. Boy was I wrong. Earl did not hold back, getting the crowd unbelievably hype with very little downtime. His flow was tight, his beats thumping, and his show stellar.

There's a reason he's got Action in his name. Easily the most high energy set of the night, Action Bronson stomped and pounded his way across the stage. Crowd control came easy to Action, he kept them fixed on his performance all night. Piledrivers, kicks, and some thrown water bottles kept it action-packed.

The Alchemist took the stage first with special guest Boldy James. The Alchemist's production certainly took it to another level, staying at the forefront of their set. The Alchemist also made an appearance during Action's set. The duo put out two collaborative albums last year titled Bo Jackson and Super Tecmo Bo. As an Auburn student, I fully endorse these album titles.

This was my first ever 'rap show.' It did not disappoint. Early, Action, and The Alchemist all brought something unique to the table that made the night fun and exciting. A memorable night for sure.
