Year: Junior
Major: Marketing
Position: Music Director
How did you find out about WEGL?
"My brother had mentioned something about it to me when he was in college and I had always been really interested in music. So when I saw the table for the organization at Camp War Eagle i couldn’t resist and the rest is history."
What made you want to apply for your position?
"Well I was originally the marketing director but by the end of the semester me and the previous music director decided to change positions to try out something new and as it turned out, I loved it and can’t wait to keep doing it."
Favorite WEGL Memory:
"My final Woodstock Hour of the semester on March 4th, 2020. That night’s setlist was just really good and I had the best time doing my show on Facebook live and on the air. I didn’t realize how good I had it until the pandemic took WEGL away from us and I can’t wait to get back."
Favorite Song Lyric:
From Mac Miller’s “Small Worlds”:
“Oh, I been a fool, but that's cool, that's what human beings do
Keep your eyes to the sky, never glued to your shoes”
"I chose this lyric because it’s a simple reminder that it’s okay to mess up and that you’ve always got to dream big because you’re only here for one life, so don’t waste it."
If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
"I’d have to go with “Wish You Were Here” by Pink Floyd. They’ve always been one of my favorite artists of all time and it was a really hard choice between this one and 'The Wall.'"
