Year: Senior
Major: Marketing
Position: Station Manager
How did you find out about WEGL?
I was looking for more ways to get involved and I found out that Auburn had a radio station on AUInvolve. I thought, hey this is perfect for me since I love music. I had no idea what I was about to get involved in and how much I was going to love it.
What made you want to apply for your position?
Having worked my way up through the organization from being an independent DJ, Rock Format Director, and Program Director, I thought this was an amazing opportunity to grow in my leadership skills and direct this group of people to be the incredible organization I know it is. The new station manager is about to take over and I am so proud of everything that we have done this year and I have complete faith in next year’s staff to continue our progress.
Favorite WEGL Memory:
It’s so hard to pick just one, but I would have to say every time we are all in the bullpen together. It warms my heart to think of those times and to realize that we have grown so much as a family just through our love of this station. I would have never thought I would become so close to all of these amazing people and have so much fun working together.
If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
That’s a really hard one. If I had the chance I would do the Bill Clinton Album challenge thing so I can display all of my different genre favorites, haha. I think I have to chose Led Zeppelin’s Mothership Album
since every single song is perfect and I have been listening to them all since I was a kid.
