AUBURN, Al - Auburn returns home from Baton Rouge in hopes of securing their first SEC win of the season against Kentucky.
After playing three out of their last four matches on the road, the Tigers are coming back to Auburn Arena. Their opponent on Sunday is #18 Kentucky who is the third best team in the conference.
The good news for the Tigers is that they are coming off their game against LSU with two women putting up double-doubles. Tatum Shipes posted her fifth double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs. Alongside her, Junior Morgan Kull had a career high of 12 digs to compliment her 29 assists.
The Kentucky Wildcats come into Sunday's match with a record of 16-6 (9-2). Some notable wins on their resume include sweeps of #25 Louisville, #19 Missouri and a five set win over #12 Florida.
This is a Wildcat team that is one of the most consistent offensive teams in the league, and rightfully so. They have 1150 kills and 1072 assists on the year.
A game that Auburn can definitely get back on track with is this one. The biggest key for the Tigers at home will be finishing sets. That has been Auburn's weakness this season, letting go of sets after being in control. The Tigers did so not only in Baton rouge but a game before at home against Mississippi State.
The match is set to begin at 1:30 PM CT this Sunday November 10th. The official radio broadcast can be found on WEGL 91.1 FM or WEGLFM.com. Bay Marks and Jacob Hillman will be live from Auburn Arena with the call. The pregame show will begin at 1:15 PM CT.
