With two wins already against ranked teams, Auburn gets an opportunity to knock off another opponent Saturday when they go down to Gainesville to face the tenth ranked Florida Gators.
Both teams are coming into the game with identical 5-0 records, including a 2-0 mark in conference play.
The Tigers had perhaps their best offensive game last week in a 56-23 home win against Mississippi State, as they racked up almost 600 total yards of offense.
Quarterback Bo Nix had his best passing game of his young career, throwing for 335 yards and two touchdowns, and running back Boobie Whitlow ran for three touchdowns in the game.
Meanwhile, the Gators handled business last week by cruising past Towson 38-0. Quarterback Kyle Trask threw for two touchdowns, and running back Dameon Pierce accounted for a rushing touchdown.
A major key in this game will be the battle between Auburn’s high tempo offense versus Florida’s stout defense. The Tigers are second in the SEC in rushing yards per game, while the Gators lead the SEC in both sacks and interceptions.
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcasted on CBS.
