Moore scored a career-high 23 points in 23 minutes off the bench to lead Auburn in a 83-50 win over Alabama State on Saturday. This marked Moore with the highest scoring total by an Auburn player this year as she scored five 3-pointers and beat the buzzer just before halftime.
Moore missed the first five games of the season with an injury but after returning to the court has averaged 9.6 points per game in seven game appearances. She has seventeen 3-pointers on the season after having made nine in her last two games.
This is Auburn’s second consecutive week with a conference honor. Moore is one of eight different Auburn Tigers to earn Freshman of the Week honors and the first since Unique Thompson was honored twice last season.
Auburn (12-1) continues on a nine-game winning streak into SEC Conference play which begins Thursday as the Tigers host No. 10 Tennessee at 6pm CT in Auburn Arena. Tickets are available at AUBTix.com.
