New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon reading this, your mind most likely jumped to the infamous Bourbon Street, drive-through daiquiri joints, and jazz music. And for good reason! New Orleans is home to some of the South’s most rich and diverse culture, and if you haven’t had the chance to visit, I highly recommend it as it’s only a few hours away.
And honestly, what better time to go than for 2019’s Buku Music + Arts Festival?
The dynamic lineup for the eighth installation of this festival dropped last week, and it is one you can’t ignore. Buku has something for everyone - rap, indie, electronic, rock, and everything in between. The headliners are a great testament to this. What other festival could confidently book headliners like Lana Del Rey, A$AP Rocky, and Excision and pull it off?
And we can’t just stop at the headliners. The longer you look at this collection of artists, the better it gets. The undercard of this festival is always strong and always features local NOLA artists. If you’re like me and are the type of person who gets to the festival as soon as the gates open, you’re bound to catch a few of these incredible acts.
