AUBURN, Ala. (WEGL) Auburn University, Auburn Athletics and the City of Auburn are going to make history this Thursday and WEGL will be there to deliver on the live experience. In the first Tipoff at Toomer’s event, the iconic intersection that has years of history behind its name will be turned into a basketball court to get ready for Auburn’s 2018-19 Men’s Basketball season.
Starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m., Campus Recreation will be hosting a student 3-on-3 tournament and WEGL 91.1 FM will be live with the broadcast of the tournament with play-by-play and color commentary for all the matchups.
You can catch the live broadcast locally at 91.1 FM or for those traveling for Fall Break or outside our broadcast area, online at weglfm.com. You will also be able to catch the full broadcast of each game as they happen on WEGL’s SoundCloud and iTunes pages.
That’s not all for the day. You can start your day with The Wake Up Call live Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. with Noah Gardner and Jared Dillard giving you a preview of Auburn Football’s game against Tennessee, a look into college football and a preview of Auburn’s basketball season.
After the 3-on-3 tournament, you can catch Tiger Talk presented by the Auburn Sports Network live from 6-7 p.m. on the court. The team will take the court at 8 p.m. and be featured on the SEC Network. Following the event, the team will be able to meet with fans for an autograph session in a meet and greet.
